Free Printable Activities for Kids to Learn About Feelings
Understanding and expressing emotions is an important part of children's social and emotional development. As they grow, kids learn to recognize and manage their feelings, which plays a significant role in their overall well-being and interactions with others. To aid in this essential learning process, I've created a free set of printable activities designed to help children explore and understand various emotions in a fun and interactive way.
Today, I will share with you a set of five printable pages, each focusing on a different emotion: happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and excitement. These pages are designed to engage children in identifying, expressing, and reflecting on their feelings.
How Does It Work?
Each printable page features a blank face representing a specific emotion. There are separate cut-out pieces for eyes and a mouth. The child's task is to cut out these facial features and glue them onto the blank face to depict the corresponding emotion.
Additionally, there is a space where the child can cut out and paste the emotion (e.g., "happy," "sad," "angry," "scared," or "excited") beside “I Feel “. This step encourages children to verbalize their emotions and associate words with their feelings, fostering language development and emotional expression.
